Frequently Asked Questions
What does a share cost?
We are offering several share options for our 2007 Season. Please see our CSA Introduction page for a description of each.
What happens if I don't pick up my box?
If you'll be away and can't pick up your box, you may have someone else pick it up for you. If a box isn't picked up on your designated pick-up day, it will be donated to a local charity.
How do I know that the produce is organic?
The Golden Earthworm Organic Farm, LLC is certified by a third-party certifier, NOFA-NY Certified Organic, LLC. The use of synthetic chemical fertilizers and pesticides is prohibited in Certified Organic Production.
How much produce will I get each week?
We include between 6 and 10 items in the box each week. During the summer and autumn months, the boxes are much fuller than during the first few weeks in the spring. If you are a large family eating a primarily vegetarian diet, you might consider ordering more than one full share, and if you are a small family, you may want to consider splitting the share with a friend or neighbor.
What types of vegetables can I expect to find in my box?
It depends on the season. See sample boxes on our CSA page.
When can I pick up my box?
To find out when your box will be available for pick-up, please see our Locations page.
How can I find directions to my pick-up location?
Please see our Locations page for addresses and directions.
Can I give a gift of membership?
Giving the gift of a CSA Membership to a friend or family member is a wonderful idea. We can provide a custom gift certificate and a packet of information for the recipient. Sign them up!
