<p>Here we are transplanting radicchio, although the same technique is used for transplanting lettuces, kale, swiss chard and many other crops.&nbsp;</p>

<p>We have had a terrific, relaxing winter and we're looking forward to getting things going again this spring.&nbsp;</p>

<p>8 varieties of potatoes + 2.5 men + 1 new German potato planter + 1 beautiful sunny day = 6 ACRES OF POTATOES PLANTED! &nbsp;</p>
<p>Did you know that it takes a potato to grow a potato? &nbsp;We cut up the potato "seed", which is basically just a potato, and plant it into the ground. This piece of potato will grow into a potato plant and produce many new potatoes for us to harvest this summer. &nbsp;Check out the pictures of our planting...</p>
