How we transplant

We use mechanical transplanters to plant most of our seedlings out into the field.  These little plants were seeded into flats and spent their first few months growing inside our greenhouses where they were carefully watered and kept warm.  This is their big day! 

Here we are transplanting radicchio, although the same technique is used for transplanting lettuces, kale, swiss chard and many other crops.
